Step 1: Open the Door to Google Workspace!

First things first, log in to your Google Workspace admin. It's like stepping into the realm where you control the email forces.

Step 2: Adding a Domain – Easy Peasy! 🌟

Now, in the domain section, look for the "Add a domain" button. It's like telling Google Workspace, "Hey, I've got something new and exciting!"

Step 3: Claim Your Domain!

After logging into Google Workspace, it's time to get down to business. Follow these steps:

Type in Your Domain: 🌐

Find the spot that says "Type in your domain." This is where you declare your digital territory.

Step 4: Click "Add Domain & Start Verification"!

Now, let's keep this straightforward:

Click on the “Add Domain & Start Verification” Button:

Locate this button, give it a solid click. It's like triggering the next phase.

After that, get ready. You'll be directed to a page demanding your Godaddy account sign-in. This is where you prove your domain mastery! Prepare to verify like a pro.

Step 5: Activate Gmail for Your Domain!

Alright, you've conquered the verification challenge. Now, let's dive into the next move:

Activate Gmail for the Domain

After signing in and proving your domain mastery, the next step is to activate Gmail. It's like unlocking the full potential of your domain.

Select Setup MX record next:

This will automatically add the SPF, and MX records for you. Once successful it will then change to a verified

Now what’s left is the DKIM.

To set DKIM, from the admin go to Apps, then Google Workspace, and select Gmail as seen below:

Next select DKIM:

Now you can select the domain and then use the generate button to generate the DKIM key for the domain.

You can leave the prefix as Google and continue with the generate button

Now reload the page then select the said domain:

You should see the DKIM details. Go to your domain registrar and select the domain to add a new record for it.

For the record add a text record. For the name you can use the name in the DKIM that was generated:

And for the value:

You need to copy and paste this:

Save the changes, then click on the start authentication button:

Once successful you should get the message there as well.

Now the last part is the DMARC part. You need to add another TXT record to your domain record.

Type; TXT

Name: _dmarc

Value: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:[email protected];

Remember to replace [email protected] with an administrator’s email that will receive reports.
