Setting Up a Custom Tracking Domain: A Guide for Namecheap Domain Provider

Ever wondered why people who do email marketing are worried about custom tracking domain?

Well it’s kind of weird but in the end really necessary. But first you need to understand what a Custom tracking domain is and why tt’s important.

You can understand the basics and why it’s important there.

To add a custom tracking domain for Namecheap is similar process for the above guide. However I will show you how to add the records for Namecheap.

First you need to login to Success.ai’s dashboard here

Then select the 3 dots and then adjust settings:

Under the warmup section scroll down:

Then check this box to enable custom tracking domain:

You will need to create a record using the details above.

To do this login to your namecheap account:

Then go to domain list:

You should see the available list of domain. Click on the manage button next to the domain:

Then advanced DNS:

Then next Add new record:

Create a CNAME record using the details from the dashboard:

Once done click on the check icon to save the changes.

Now go to the dashboard and enter track.yourdomain.com.

Remember to replace your tracking domain with the domain you edited on Namecheap.

Then click on check status and once it verifies the record, scroll down to click on the save button.

That’s it.
