Step 1: Connect your Email accounts with Success.ai
First things first, let's head over to the Email Accounts section and connect an email account with Success.ai.
Now, it's important to make sure that both IMAP and SMTP are enabled. Why? Because our warmup system needs SMTP to send out emails, IMAP helps detect replies.

Once you have successfully connected your email accounts you can move to next steps.
Step 2: Add Custom Tracking Domain(Optional):
Alright, let's talk about custom-tracking domains. It might sound a bit technical, but don't worry, I'll break it down for you.
When we track email opens and clicks, we add a special code to the end of specific website addresses, like this: example. com/{code}. Each address is unique so that we can tell when someone opens an email or clicks a link. By default, everyone uses the same tracking domain.
Now, why should you consider adding a custom tracking domain? Well, it's like having your own space in a big crowd. We have almost a million users, and if one of them does something not-so-great, it won't affect you. You can set this up by following the steps in this guide
A quick tip: You can use the same custom tracking domain for multiple email accounts. For example, if you set up track.success.ai for success.ai, you can use it for all your email accounts in success.ai.
However, here's something to consider: While you can use one tracking domain for email accounts with different domains, it's usually a good idea to have a custom tracking domain for each domain. So, if you have email accounts with three different domains, set up three custom tracking domains, one for each domain.
For example, if you have [email protected], the tracking domain could be track.success.ai. For [email protected], you might want to use track.leadingly.io. It helps keep things organized!
Step 3: Enable Email Warmup
Think of an email warmup as a friendly introduction before diving into a deep conversation. When you create a new email account or haven't used one for a while, it's a bit like meeting someone new or reconnecting with an old friend. Email warmup is the process of gradually increasing the sending volume of your emails over a period, allowing your email provider (like Gmail or Outlook) to get to know your sending habits and build trust.
Email warmup is vital for successful marketing because it:
Avert Suspicion: Gradual email sending prevents sudden spikes, avoiding suspicion from email providers.
Builds Trust: By easing into sending, you establish trust with providers, increasing the likelihood of landing in the inbox.
Enhances Deliverability: The process significantly improves email deliverability, ensuring messages reach the intended audience.
Sidesteps Spam Filters: Slow introduction minimizes the risk of being marked as spam, enhancing visibility and reader engagement.
In a Nutshell, Email warmup is like introducing yourself slowly to build trust with email providers. It's essential for successful email marketing because it ensures your emails are delivered, land in the inbox, and don't end up in the spam folder. By taking the time to warm up, you're setting the stage for a long and healthy relationship with both email providers and your audience.
We recommend warming up your email for 3-4 weeks before launching the campaign.
